Stair Lifts

Conquer your stairs and enjoy your home on all levels. Whether due to an injury or illness, age or ability, if the thought of getting up and down a staircase becomes more challenging, a stair lift or chair lift isn’t just a convenient addition to your home, it’s a necessity. A stair lift allows a house to be a home, not a hindrance. View straight and curved chair lifts at Harmar.

Vehicle Lifts

Go where you want, how you want, when you want, with a Harmar Outside Lift. This type of lift is attached to the vehicle by means of a hitch and consists of an actuator and platform which secures and carries a manual chair, scooter, or powerchair.

Four easy steps to get your mobile chair

1

Visit your physician for a face-to-face examination and discuss your mobility options.

During your exam, your physician must first consider the use of cane, walker, and manual wheelchair before considering a scooter or power wheelchair. A physical therapist may also conduct an additional assessment if your physician deems it necessary.

2

Have your physician send the written prescription and records to Petersen Medical.

Petersen Medical must receive the written prescription and supporting documentation from your face-to-face examination. Once received, Petersen Medical will work with you and your physician to determine the appropriate power wheelchair model for your needs.

3

Petersen Medical will conduct a home assessment to ensure you have adequate access and maneuverability space.

The primary reason for a power mobility device is to compensate for you mobility limitations within your home and your ability to perform activities of daily living including toileting, grooming, bathing, dressing, and eating.

4

Petersen Medical will order your product, deliver it to your home, and instruct you on how to operate it.

Delivery of the scooter or power wheelchair must be no more than 120 days following your face-to-face exam.
